First Baptist Lafayette will hold their support groups again this year…
DivorceCare is for those who are going through the pain of a separation or divorce. The group is led by others who understand the feelings and emotions following a divorce, and who are able to offer encouragement. In DivorceCare people learn to deal with the past and look forward to rebuilding their lives.
These groups will meet beginning January 13 each Sunday at 4:00 p.m. through April 7th.

First Baptist Lafayette will hold their support groups again this year…
GriefShare is for those who are grieving the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend. In small group discussions participants interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, and learn from their experiences. Each session includes a video with dramatic reenactments about living with grief, real-life stories from people who have experienced losses, or encouragement from experts on grief recovery.
These groups will meet beginning January 13 each Sunday at 4:00 p.m. through April 7th.

First Baptist Lafayette will hold their support groups again this year…
A new group, The Wounded Heart, is for adult women who are victims of childhood sexual abuse. This group will go step-by-step through the process of change: facing the truth about past and present experiences and feelings; wrestling with God, other people, and self; and understanding the goals and fears that determine how to relate to others. Based on the book by Dr. Dan Allender, the goal is hope and healing for survivors.
The Wounded Heart meets each Wednesday, beginning January 16, at 6:00 p.m.

First Baptist Church in Jennings will be hosting a Live Life Louisiana event. First Place for health is a Christ-centered health program that emphasizes balance in physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual areas of life. Guest speakers are Carole Lewis who is the First Place 4 Health National Director and Vicki Heath who is the First Place 4 Health Associate Director.
